Eagle statues with view of the Bahai gardens in Haifa

Two eagle statues and the stairs that seem to lead right into the sky. The Baha'i gardens are extremely impressive and maintained to perfection. Most of the work is done by Baha'i followers who come and volunteer for a certain period of time. The Baha'i religion is interesting and I wasn't very aware of it until my visits in the gardens. One of the volunteers chatted with us and explained us the underlying principles of his religion. It's a very recent religion that was initiated by Ali-Muhammad, a man from Iran whom declared himself as the 'Promised One' in 1844. Today there are approximately six million Baha'is around the globe.
