A horse with a cart on a nice little street in Trinidad. This picture is a nice example of the fantastic colors that can be witnessed in Cuba. Trinidad in located centrally in Cuba in the province of Sancti Spiriti. The town is remarkable and ideal to admire the colonial architecture.

A farmer plowing his tobacco field with his cattle. Taken just out of Vinales next to our backpacker hostel. The farmer was actually the owner of the casa particulare in which we were staying. Casa particulares are the way to go if you want to backpack around Cuba. You basically stay with in houses where the owners have arranged one or two rooms for guests. We've had a really good experience most of the time.

By chance we found the Alejandro Robaina cigar plantation in Cuba. We had a private visit of the plantations and even met Don Alejandro himself, who was kind enough to speak with us for some time.

A bar on a sumptuous beach on Cayo Coco. This island is easily accessible by car as they have build a 27 kilometers long road through the sea that leads to the island! The beaches are beautiful, but the hotels on the island clearly don't have much charm. It is still way prettier than the busy and horrible beaches of Varadero where most tourists sadly decide to stay...
